Birka & Ecology

Birka won the Ecology Award of the Ankara Chamber of Industry with its efforts and research made on recycling of petroleum derivatives.

Birka became the first company in Turkey to use LABSA instead of DDB in detergents and produce Biodegradable Detergents. Birka's special ecological friendly detergent "Birka Marin" became the only detergent permitted to be used on marinas and by the Turkish Ministry of Environment. Birka is also the first company in Turkey to lauch biodegradable fabric softeners Birka is proud and content to be a Company which fulfilled its environmental responsibility with thousands of trees planted around the factory area and also with its chemical-biological waste purification and treatment plant
